1在醫  藥衛生、化妝品方面，可做皮膚的緩沖劑  、雪花膏的添加劑  ；

2在紡織、造紙工業中可作為維生素  的精制材料；

3在建筑業中，可用作混凝土的減水劑  ，降低水和水泥的比例，增強初期強度；

4在牙膏里增加葡萄糖酸  -δ-內酯，有助于消除牙垢；

5在洗滌中用也可防止洗滌時引起的斑點；在照像業可用作顯影穩定劑  。
